• First and foremost, always wear your seatbelt, even for short trips. It truly can save your life in the event of a crash. Also, ensure that your vehicle is properly maintained and in good condition. 

• Check your tires regularly and ensure that they are properly inflated and have sufficient tread depth. Ensure that your brakes, lights, and other critical systems are always functioning correctly, too. 

• When driving, always obey traffic rules and regulations, such as speed limits, traffic signals, and stop signs. Be mindful of other road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. Avoid distractions while driving, such as using your phone, eating, or applying makeup. Keep your attention focused on the road and your surroundings. 

• Finally, and most importantly, avoid driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This can impair your judgment, slow your reaction time, and put you and others at risk. If you feel too tired or unwell to drive safely, consider taking a break or consider using alternative modes of transportation.
