Claims Department

  • In general, losses and damages, including theft need to be reported to police.
  • It is important to ensure that you report the claim to your broker within 30 days or as and when the incident occurs.
  • Never admit Liability or Responsibility for any incident.

Documentation required for Motor Claim

Accident

  • Motor Accident Claim form – fully completed
  • Clear Copy of Driver’s licence
  • SAP (case) number
  • Quotation
  • Witness information if applicable
  • All Third-Party details
  • Any documentation you receive from Third Party / their attorneys etc

Theft

  • Motor Theft Claim form – fully completed – Clear copy of driver’s licence
  • Copy of purchase invoice
  • Confirmation of any extras
  • Keys
  • 2 x signed change of ownership forms
  • Original deregistration papers
  • If a company BRNC certificate
  • Certified copy of ID – proxy documentation
  • SAP 21 letter

Write Off

  • Motor Accident Claim form – fully completed
  • Clear copy of driver’s licence
  • Copy of purchase invoice
  • Confirmation of any extras
  • Keys
  • 2 x signed change of ownership forms
  • Original registration papers
  • Manual
  • If a company Certified copy of ID Document
  • BRNC (business registration number certificate)

Documentation required for Non-Motor Claim (Property Loss)

  • General Property loss / damage claim form to be fully completed and returned with the necessary documentation listed below.
  • Proof of ownership would be required for certain claims.
  • Salvage would be required for certain claims therefore please do not dispose of damaged items.

Lost/Damaged:

  • Invoice (if item has been repaired / replaced)
  • Quotation to replace / repair
  • Damage report from service provider

Stolen

  • Invoice / quote to replace
  • SAPS (case) number

Geyser

  • Invoice or Quote to replace / repair
  • Above also applies to any resultant damage
  • Age of Geyser

Cell Phone

  • Damage Report from service provider (in case of damage)
  • Blacklisting number from network service provider (in case of loss or theft)
  • SAPS (case) number (in case of loss or theft)
  • Invoice or Quote to repair / replace item
